Hi! I’m here to move fast and make things.
Trailer of my life:
- Spawned in Michigan, my parents kept climbing and took me along
- Elementary school “recess” had pickaxes and power tools
- High school friend group spent COVID coding on voice call together
- Indiscriminately studied STEM at Caltech (techn. CS/Neuro (CNS))
Some things I believe:
- The subjective experience is a miracle. And we can mold it.
- The fractal of experience contains infinite wonder.
- The world (and thus, the experience) is malleable via technology.
- Trust is key.
- We’re all just people trying to get along and explore the world.
- Quality. Scale is an engineering problem.
- I can get way better, by training
- Intentionality / focus / discipline / alignment,
- Optimism and imagination (physics provides realism),
- Reduced mental inertia,
- Fear is the mind killer.
- Live a pure/light life. Reduce items, noise, etc.
- and increased velocity. And acceleration, jerk, snap, crackle, pop, …
It's gonna be fkin great—I cannot wait :))
